NZ FREE Trade Agreements with Korea, Taiwan and CPTTP

Under these FTA New Zealand exporters are required to make a “self-declaration of origin”, either as a declaration of origin, or self-issued CO. It is important exporters make accurate declarations, understand the relevant Product Specific Rules (PSR) and the liability of their origin declaration for themselves and the importer.

New Zealand certifying Chambers will electronically review and certify self-issued FTA CO or declarations on request for single consignment COs only.
Before applying we recommend the applicant has read the origin criterion and relevant product specific rules (PSR). It is also important that the applicant company keeps a file record for the required statutory period, confirming how the goods listed on any self-declared origin document meet the relevant PSRs.
